GETTING MARRIED IN DOMINICA

At The Jungle Bay Spa and Resort a wonderful eco sustainable resort that features thirty-five tastefully furnished tropical hardwood cottages elevated on wooden posts, nestled beneath the undisturbed jungle of Dominica.

Cottages are spacious and feature wood furnishings all "designed and built" at the resort. Cottages are perched like birds nests, tucked away on a hillside between Cedar, Gomier and Galba trees. A spring fed stream cascades along the valley below.

Legal Requirements For Marrying on Dominica

MARRIAGE REQUIREMENTS

One member of the wedding party is required to be on island at least 2 business days prior to the appointment to complete the necessary documents with the Commissioner of Oaths and the Magistrate. All documentation should be sent to Jungle Bay Resort & Spa at least one month before arrival.

YOU WILL REQUIRE:

  • Birth Certificates and Passports as proof of citizenship.
  • Certificate of Non-Marriage or Non-Impediment.
  • If divorced, the divorce decree must be presented.
  • If widowed, a death certificate must be presented
  • These copies must be notarized with the seal and signature of the notary public.
