ATTRACTIONS IN ST VINCENT & THE GRENADINES

BOTANICAL GARDENS – ST VINCENT

A visit to the Botanical Gardens, the oldest in the Western Hemisphere, is a favourite stop for both visitors and Locals. Here, rare and exotic flowers, plants and trees abound.

FORT CHARLOTTE – ST VINCENT

The fortification was constructed in 1806. In its heyday, it supported 600 troops and 34 guns. Some of the old barracks now house a museum, with the colourful history of the Black Caribs depicted on its walls.

FORT DUVERNETTE – ST VINCENT

Alongside Young Island, this fort (built in 1800) is situated 195 feet above the sea and was originally intended to defend the anchorage at Calliaqua Bay.

BLACK POINT TUNNEL – ST VINCENT

This historical tunnel is the only road access point linking the south of the island to the North.

TRINITY FALLS – ST VINCENT

A 40-ft waterfall that descends in three cascades into a circular pool, then drops another ten feet into a second pool perfect for swimming.

LA SOUFRIERE VOLCANO – ST VINCENT

Remains one of St. Vincent’s major attractions. La Soufrière is ‘one of the most studied volcanoes in the world.’

MONTREAL GARDENS – ST VINCENT

In the Marriaqua Valley lies another showplace for the island’s flora and fauna.

ISLAND HOPPING

The Grenadines are made up of small islands Bequia, Mustique, Tobago Cays, Canouan, Petit St Vincent, Union Island, Mayreau, Palm Island, so why not take a trip to discover the hidden treasure of each island.

THE OLD HEGG TURTLE SANCTUARY – BEQUAI

Here, Brother King nurtures over 200 endangered Hawksbill turtles, of all sizes, until they are able to fend for themselves in the "wide blue yonder".

FRIENDSHIP BAY – BEQUAI

Is the peak that locals sometimes call "The Mountain". This nearly 900ft hill offers an invigorating hike to the reward of a panoramic view of St. Vincent to the north and the Grenadines to the south.

PAGET FARM - BEQUIA

Visit a typical local village where you will find the traditional seafaring skills of handcrafted scrimshaw by Sam McDowell.

ADMIRAL BAY - BEQUIA

This sweeping Bay is full of marine and land activity. Bars, cafes and intriguing shops spread out along the coastal main street, overlooking this natural harbour.
